Young Artists Are Encouraged to Get Involved in Oswego Mural Project

Spring is almost here and that means plans are being made for the Springboard Mural Project along West Linear Park in Oswego. “Starting our ninth year of artwork, the mural project is actively seeking interested youth artists who would like to create a piece of artwork and paint it in a public space in the city of Oswego,” said Kristen Slimmer, youth activities coordinator for the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau.

Committee Recommends Code Amendment For Public Safety

The city attorney requested council consideration in amending the provisions of Article XIII, Section C13-07 of the charter with respect to amendments to local laws 2 and 6 of 2015, to provide an exception to the requirements that property owners must pay all monies owed to the city prior to the issuance of a permit. The exception pertains to instances where the condition of the property constitutes harm to the life, safety or general welfare of the public.
