Oswego Health has signed the pledge to help increase colorectal cancer screening rates by supporting the 80% by 2018 initiative, led by the American Cancer Society, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable.
State Police arrested Lawrence J. Kline, 54, from Oneida River Road in Phoenix, for Assault in the second degree, a class “D” felony. On March 8, Mr. Kline was being transported by ambulance from his residence to SUNY University Medical Center in Syracuse for a complaint of back pain.
State Police arrested Matthew J. Peston, 32, from 142 Rainbow Shores Road in Richland, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree, a class “A” misdemeanor; Making a punishable false written statement, a class “A” misdemeanor; and (6) counts of Torturing or Injuring animals-failure to provide sustenance, a class “A” misdemeanor.

The Fulton Common Council will revisit a zone change request for a second time after a public hearing held in August that failed to approve the proposed change resulted in a petition to the Oswego County Supreme Court. The council will reconsider the request at a public hearing to be held during a regular council meeting on March 21
A decades-long tradition at Fairley Elementary School continued recently as fourth graders, decked out in period costumes, took a step back in time during Ole Fashion Day. The annual event corresponds with the social studies unit on Colonial America, where students learn about patriots, loyalists and the Revolutionary War.
