Oswego County residents who want free access to online learning courses will soon have the opportunity through “Skill Up Oswego County,” an initiative sponsored by Oswego County Workforce New York, the Oswego County Workforce Development Board, the Oswego County Poverty Reduction Task Force and NY Wired for Education.
In recognition of March being Colon Cancer Awareness Month Oswego County Opportunities Cancer Services Program is asking community members to participate in the ninth annual National Dress in Blue Day on March 3.
The program, coordinated by teacher Mike Thurlow, is open to students in grades 11 and 12 who aim to utilize theories and skills they gathered in their classroom and apply them to real-world work environments.

Families, fitness and fun will be celebrated during Fairley Elementary School’s upcoming fourth annual Healthy Family Night. The event, to be held from 5 to 7 p.m., will feature fitness challenges, family activities, healthy snacks and a community agency resource fair.
This is a tiered application process. The local winner is submitted to the Zonta District for an additional chance to win and that applicant goes to on Zonta International, providing opportunity to win $500 at the local level, $1,000 at the district level and $4,000 at the international level.
