The Town of Volney History Center will host “World War II and Korean War Veterans” presentation and slideshow by Jim Farfaglia. The stirring event will be held at the Volney Town Hall County Route 3, Volney Center, on April 23 at 2 p.m.

The event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 26 at G. Ray Bodley High School, where Fulton Junior High School and GRB students interested in the aforementioned fields will explore the passion of current GRB students enrolled in STEAM courses.

The children who visit the Novelis Children’s Park during Harborfest this year will again benefit from the generosity of the Richard S. Shineman Foundation. This year’s grant will be used to sponsor the Robotics and S.T.E.A.M. Station, which hosts a variety of exciting, hands on activities that span the worlds of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

Kenwell Corporation, Mimi’s Diner, Eastern Shore Associates, Patterson Warehousing, and Bellinger Auto Sales & Service have all donated to the Fulton Block Builders, collectively putting FBB over our goal,” said Linda Eagan, FBB Administrative Director. Realizing the goal meant matching a $100,000 commitment from the Richard S. Shineman Foundation to jump start the grassroots organization in its first year.
