Schumer: Our Highest Priority Should Be Protecting Our Critical Infrastructure From Cyber-Attacks

On the heels of news reports revealing that hackers may have launched cyber-attacks on nuclear power plants and other energy facilities, U.S. Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer today (July 12) said Upstate New York’s nuclear power plants like Ginna, FitzPatrick, Indian Point, Nine Mile, and The Niagara Power Project could be vulnerable to future attacks. Schumer said that we must do everything we can to mitigate threats like these and improve our critical infrastructure defenses.

Nineteen Fulton Properties Complete Home Improvements Through FBB

Fulton Block Builders awarded the first $10,000 and the city of Fulton has profited from $31,000 in improvements – by residents – to their properties! The work of residents in the city is starting to be seen on streets all around Fulton. What was once only a plan and talk among neighbors is now translating into improvements throughout the city. Nineteen properties, thus far, have completed their “Street Appeal” and received their Fulton Block Builder checks.

The ground pounding Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds, SUNY Canton Sportsman, Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux Late Models, E&V Energy Novice Sportsman and JB Logging & Firewood 4-Cylinders will be racing on the “Highbanks.”

Addiction Awareness Group Plans Second Annual Walk Event in Oswego

The Addiction Awareness Group, started in 2016 by parents of addicts Cori Welch and Amy Pelow, are planning its second Addiction Awareness Walk for August 13 in Oswego. The walk is free and open to the community to spread awareness about the growing problem of addiction. The walk will start and end at the Oswego Elks Lodge with pre-registration now open.
