The Corps officers, captains Heather Odom and Wendy Senior, and members of the Advisory Board of the Oswego County Salvation Army offer their sincere thanks to several Oswego restaurateurs, members of Zonta, and members of the public for their generous support of the Guest Chef Dinners of 2017. A total of 598 meals were served in our dining room or as take-outs at the six dinners held throughout the year and $6,429 was raised to support the work of the Army in Oswego County.

Sustained economic gains and strong federal and state programs have led to welcome progress in the fight against poverty over the last several years. But poverty in New York remains higher than it was before the Great Recession, and actions by Congress and the Trump administration threaten to weaken the very programs that have contributed to progress made so far.

The Oswego State men’s hockey team announced today (Nov. 14), that former team member Michael Wills, Class of 2015, will return to the Marano Campus Center Arena Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17 and 18, when his alma mater hosts two fierce competitors, Buffalo State and Fredonia. Now an internationally-recognized professional artist, Wills will capture on canvas the light, energy and enthusiasm of NCAA Division III men’s college hockey games in two very unique paintings during live games over the weekend.

Culeton Competes On SUNY Oneonta Volleyball Team

Clara Culeton, a freshman from Oswego, was a member of the 2017 SUNY Oneonta volleyball team. The team finished 14-18 overall this season and completed a record of 4-5 in the SUNYAC. The team qualified for the conference tournament and was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
