FULTON, NY – Edward S. McDougall Sr., 72, of Fulton, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017, at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, after a brief illness.
He was born on July 14, 1945, in Fulton, a son to the late Elmer and Clara Salsbery McDougall.
Ed was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Vietnam War where he received a Purple Heart.
He worked at Nestle Co. for 36 years up until they closed their doors in 2003.
Ed was predeceased by his two brothers, Nicholas and Timothy McDougall; and two sisters, Patricia Pieropan and Betty Blake.
He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his wife of 48 years, Ruth McDougall; three children, Edward McDougall Jr., James (Missy) McDougall and Sara Monroe all of Fulton; three grandchildren, Jadyn, Abigail and Nicolas; two brothers, Charles and Harry McDougall; one sister, Karen (Ron) Sayre; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, where a memorial service will follow at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Volney United Methodist Church, County Route 6, Fulton, NY, 13069, in Ed’s name.
