SUNY Oswego and its vice president for student affairs and enrollment management, Dr. Jerald Woolfolk, recently earned State University-wide awards — the first time they were ever bestowed — as the SUNY Diversity Conference recognized their years-long commitment to fostering diversity, inclusion and social justice at the college.
Those who live in Central and Northern New York know that we have tremendous potential for growth. Today, that potential was recognized when these two regions were awarded more than $151 million through the Regional Economic Development Council (REDC) program. This support will help revitalize our local economies, bring job growth and create more opportunities for the hardworking people who choose to live, work and raise their families in our region.
Several projects in Oswego County will receive Regional Economic Development Council funding, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced today (Dec. 13). The CNY REDC selected 38 priority projects that were submitted to the State for funding through the CFA process. A total of $21,203,550 in ESD grant funding has been requested by the CNY REDC. The total cost for these projects is $158,501,906, with the retention of 2,216 jobs and the creation of 582 jobs.
Robert A. Livingston, 80, died on Wednesday Dec. 13, 2017, at Elderwood Nursing Home, Liverpool, from Parkinson’s disease.

For the Oswego County Chapter of the Greater Syracuse Association of Realtors, helping area homeless youth is its mission for the season. Oswego County Opportunities’ PATH program was once again the beneficiary of the Oswego County Chapter of the Greater Syracuse Association of Realtors’ annual fundraiser.
