State Senator Patty Ritchie is encouraging people affected by the recent, historic flooding on Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River to share their stories in an online survey designed to help prevent future problems along the shorelines.
The Fulton Fire Department recently conducted a winter coat and hat drive for Catholic Charities of Oswego County. “We are extremely grateful to the Fulton Fire Department for its support,” said Mary-Margaret Pekow, executive director, CCOC.

For the fifth consecutive season, GJP Italian Eatery of Oswego will return to ‘fuel’ Proud Motorsports and team drivers Camden and Tim Proud for the 2018 season at Oswego Speedway as well as on the Lighthouse Lanes SBS Series. Under new ownership for more than two years now, lead by Larry Miller, Nicky Loomis and the Gunther family, GJP has become Oswego County’s one stop shop for Italian eats; a new customer favorite.
A Black and White Masquerade Ball will be held at the American Foundry, 246 W. Seneca St., presented by Wellhouse Ministries on January 13, 2018, from 6 – 10 p.m. This first-of-its-kind signature event in Oswego will raise funds for project “Anthony House.”
Assemblyman Will Barclay’s office recently collected about 100 pairs of shoes for the annual Tithe My Shoes drive, an effort led by Mudd Murphy to supply shoes to those in need. Murphy recently collected the shoes from the Assemblyman’s office to bring to Discount Shoe Repair in Syracuse where they will be refurbished and then delivered to the Oswego Rescue Mission.
