UPDATE: Mayor Barlow Declares State of Emergency for City of Oswego
Oswego Mayor Billy Barlow has declared a State of Emergency in the city of Oswego due to more than three feet of snowfall overnight. Oswego residents should avoid all unnecessary travel and should not park on city streets for the next twenty-four hours.

Tops Hosts Senior Citizens Luncheon
Tops Friendly Markets hosted its 20th Annual Senior Citizens Luncheon to nearly 100 grateful participants this month at the Hannibal American Legion, 226 Rochester St. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal and live music provided by the high school band and chorus.

Another Step Down The Path Of Recovery
Earlier this year, our shoreline communities were victims of historic flooding along the shores of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River. Thousands of homes, businesses and properties are still picking up the pieces from the damage they suffered. While visiting many of these shoreline communities as the waters were rising, it became immediately clear that financial help would be needed. That is why I cosponsored the Lake Ontario-St. Lawrence Seaway Flood Relief and Recovery Grant Program, which provided $45 million in funding to impacted year-round and seasonal homeowners, small businesses, farms, not-for-profits and municipalities.

Justin White Receives Annual Tourism Ambassador Award

Oswego County Offices Will Be Closed on Jan. 1
All Oswego County offices, solid waste transfer stations, the Bristol Hill Landfill and the Materials Recovery Facility will be closed on Monday, Jan. 1, for New Year’s Day.

Donations Needed for Home-Delivered Meals for Seniors
The winter months can bring many challenges to healthy people of all ages. For the elderly who are homebound, chores such as buying groceries and preparing meals can be overwhelming during the winter. However, thanks to the Oswego County Home-Delivered Meals Program, more than 500 seniors a day are receiving nutritious meals without having to leave their homes. In a large rural county of 968 square miles, that is no small undertaking.
