Porky and Buddy Pet Health – Protect Animals From The Cold
Continuing on from last week’s column about the story of Jack in the Box and making 2018 the Year of Kindness, we had planned to tell you today about how the Oswego County Humane Society can help when you have a pet that needs a home and you think you may have run out of options. And we will get to that eventually, but today, in light of the weather, we want to talk about the issue of apparently homeless pets out in the cold. We all know that cold like we are experiencing now can kill animals. So we are asking all of you to do the right thing.

The Catholic Schools of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse announce their 12th Annual Light the Way Scholarship Dinner. It will be held January 26, at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown. The event is sponsored in part by M&T Bank, Keybank, Mirabito Energy Products, LeMoyne College and the Marriott Syracuse Downtown.
O’Connor, Pisa To Join Forces For Newly Formed G.O. Premiere Motorsports In 2018
A newly formed two-car team is preparing for competition at Oswego Speedway in 2018. However, the names and faces will be familiar to anyone who follows the Pathfinder Bank SBS series. Greg O’Connor and Tony Pisa will handle the driving duties for the G.O. Premiere Motorsports team, co-owned by O’Connor and Stephen Flack.
Trinity Catholic School Trivia Night Planned
Trinity Catholic School invites the community to join them on January 19 for a night of friendly competition and tons of excitement. Pub-style appetizers are included in the ticket price and there will be a cash bar for adult beverages. There will be prizes, too.

Oswego County Land Bank Helps Restore Communities
Land banks have been proven to be a solution for returning properties to the most productive and economical use for the respective communities and get them back on the tax rolls.
Oswego County Land Bank was formed in 2016 and in just one short year has impacted more than two dozen properties throughout the county: sold and put 10 properties back on the tax rolls, completed two full rehabs with seven more in process and completed 12 demolitions.
