Porky and Buddy Pet Health – Make Oswego County A Better Place For All Animals.

You may have read the recent Pet of the Week column about Jack in the Box or maybe you saw it on Facebook or received an email from the Oswego County Humane Society. They told you about Jack, the cat taped up in a box and left by the side of the road on a frigid December day. Luckily, he was rescued by some kind-hearted strangers who took him for vet care and he is fine now at the Humane Society and hoping to find a new safe home. But we have been thinking about Jack ever since then and the level of cruelty that he was exposed to.

Learning League Welcomes New Members At Granby Elementary

Several Granby Elementary students were recently inducted into the school’s Learning League for exemplifying empathy throughout the month of December. Because the students had shown recognition of others’ feelings, thoughts and attitudes, they were presented with certificates in front of their peers, teachers and guests.

Bodley Announces Marking Period 1 Honor Rolls

Students at G. Ray Bodley High School who achieved honor roll and high honor roll status were recently recognized for their first quarter achievements. High honor roll status was awarded to students who achieved a cumulative grade point average of 89.5 or higher, while honor roll status was awarded to students with a cumulative grade point average between 84.5 and 89.4.

Granby Elementary Helps Students Set Attendance Goals

Granby Elementary Principal Heather Witter is serving up slices of fun during a school-wide classroom attendance competition. In an effort to increase attendance rates across all grade levels, Witter said students have been tasked with encouraging one another to be present and on time every day of the 2017-18 school year.
