Henry O. “Hank” Babcock, 91, a resident of Oswego, passed away on Friday April 6, 2018, at his home.
In 2017 the E&V Energy Novice Sportsman not only provided tight and close racing, the class grew to the point in car counts where the majority of the season two features were run to give the racers experience and laps on the speedway. Some of the fast SUNY Canton DIRTcar Sportsman racers saw their experience in the Novice division pay off when they moved up.

The Oswego Lions Club will host the seventh annual Rivers Edge “handmade” Craft Show on June 10. The event will take place where the beautiful Oswego River and Lake Ontario meet. Hours for the craft show will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Assemblyman Will Barclay recently visited the new Catholic Charities building located on Route 3 in Fulton. The new handicap accessible building offers nutritional outreach, children and family services, youth programming, and provides a new gym space for recreational activities.
Murphy’s Automotive Solutions on Fred Haynes Boulevard in Oswego Town has donated a gift certificate in support of the annual “Bundle of Bucks” Charity Raffle Drawing Party taking place on May 5. The gift certificate will be one of many prizes up for grabs during the event; including the big drawing for cash prizes totaling $25,000.
