State Senator Patty Ritchie announced the new state budget contains an additional $40 million for the Lake Ontario Flood Relief and Recovery Grant Program, which will ensure all 3,500 expected eligible applicants, including 1,100 from Oswego, Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties, receive the support they need to recover from last spring’s historic flooding.

Oswego Harborfest today (April 5) announced a new multi-year agreement with its new Grucci Fireworks sponsors – Exelon Generation and Pathfinder Bank. Entertainment for the festival also announced. This year, Harborfest is scheduled for July 26 through 29. “Breitbeck Park will be rocking opening night with all of Queen’s hits. The sing-along of Bohemian Rhapsody will be a moment you don’t want to miss,” the president of the festival’s board said.
Dante A. Raponi, 95, of Martville, formerly of Fulton and Panama City, Fla., passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
