PAWS of CNY Expands in Oswego County Thanks to Grant Funding Support

PAWS of CNY, Inc., Central New York’s largest non-profit provider of pet-assisted wellness services, is a proud recipient of a grant from the NBT Bank Fund, a component fund of the Oswego County Community Foundation. The funds were received in 2017 for use in 2018 to expand PAWS of CNY’s marketing efforts in Oswego County to increase its volunteer base and expand its reach of pet therapy services.

NY Connects Staff Offers Application Assistance and Program Information

The staff of the Oswego County Office for the Aging and NY Connects will visit several communities in Oswego County during May to offer program information and application assistance to those who are unable to visit the Oswego office. Residents are asked to call OFA at 315-349-3484 to reserve a time to speak with a representative.

Mayor Barlow Welcomes Two Safe Haven Refugees Back to Oswego

Two former refugees who were at Safe Haven as young children returned to Oswego for the first time in nearly 75 years. “It’s really an honor to host you today and have the both of you back,” Mayor Billy Barlow told the visitors. “I feel, individually, that the real reason that I’m here … is to be extremely grateful and thankful to the city of Oswego and its people,” Jack Bass said.
