Host Cortland played a good possession game and did not allow us the looks we really wanted. Cortland came out fast against us and played really good possession lacrosse and we struggled to keep the ball in our sticks and finish our passes.
Mayor Billy Barlow announced today the appointment of Erin Dorsey as chair of the Campus Community Relations Committee, a committee developed to connect the SUNY Oswego student and faculty community to the city. The committee, established in 2006 has previously worked with the city on assisting with neighborhood quality of life issues, public awareness campaigns and city-campus events to better include and connect the SUNY Oswego community to the greater Oswego community.
After one of the longest winters in recent history, the Oswego race season will officially get under way May 4 when Oswego Kartway opens the gates for its non-point 2018 ‘Season Kickoff Event.’
The American Wildlife Conservation Foundation will co-sponsor a free public education program on “Lake Ontario” on May 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Salmon River Fish Hatchery, Altmar.
The College Chorus will present traditional and contemporary pieces, including songs and music from recent movies such as “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Greatest Showman.” Several chorus members will be featured as soloists, and the chorus will be accompanied by pianist Sally Baily.
Under the direction of physical education teacher Kristine Earley, the students learned the focus, discipline and attention to detail required for improving personal accuracy and consistency in archery.
