The Oswego State men’s ice hockey team has released its 2018-19 schedule along with ticketing information for the upcoming campaign. In all, the Lakers will host 17 home games in the friendly confines of the Marano Campus Center Arena during the season.
The girls’ varsity lacrosse team celebrated its end of season banquet with a few things to hand out for the season. This year, three of our players were nominated for Section 3 SCAC Empire league Honorable Mention.
GO Premiere Motorsports will hold a fundraiser on June 10 at the Sting Tavern, 48 W. Bridge St. It will benefit Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super drivers, #90 Greg O’Connor and #32 Steve Flack.
“The Inspiration for this tour was a connection between Seward House Museum and the Richardson-Bates House Museum,” said Justin White, OCHS board trustee. “The Oswego County Historical Society was the first organization to be invited to visit the Seward House in the summer of 1955, a few months before it officially opened to the public. We are calling this bus trip the ‘Reunion Tour,’ it now being 63 years in the making.”
The Minetto United Methodist Church will host a free dinner on Sunday, June 24, serving from 4 to 6 p.m. The menu, subject to change, will be oven roasted chicken, rice, vegetables, bread, and dessert. Donations are not expected but will be accepted.
The city of Oswego is proud to host the annual Oswego Community Safety Day on Saturday June 9, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. next to the Oswego Fire Department headquarters. The annual event features several local public safety and service agencies promoting their specific areas of expertise.
Major General Anthony P. German, the Adjutant General for the State of New York, announces the promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership.
