On Tuesday (July 3), deputies responded to 785 Towne Road in the town of Albion for a missing person complaint. While at that location, LLoyd W. White, who resides at that address, was found deceased as a result of an apparent logging accident, deputies reported.

Oswego School Board Gets Reorganized – Kind Of

The Oswego Board of Education held its annual re-organizational meeting on Tuesday. The vote to name a new president ended in a tie due to the absence of board member James Bell. Instead of holding a re-vote, the board decided to postpone the vote until next week’s regular meeting. The vote for a new vice president was also postponed for a week.

Fulton Schools, Cayuga Community College and Oswego County Workforce Development Board To Offer New Opportunity For Students

This fall, 25 ninth grade students in the Fulton City School District will participate in the Fulton Early College High School Program, a learning community offering students access to college courses and a college culture. Along with a curriculum developed by FCSD and Cayuga, the program offers services such as tutoring, financial aid counseling, workplace visits and possible internships.

Fulton High School Class Of 1953 To Celebrate 65th

Members of the Fulton High School class of 1953 will gather July 18 to celebrate the 65th anniversary of their graduation. The reunion will be held at the Tavern on the Lock, South First Street, Fulton, beginning at 3 o’clock with appetizers and a cash bar. A buffet dinner is scheduled for 5 p.m.

County Legislature Announces Change in Meeting Times for July and August

Clerk of the Legislature Christopher Jones announced that the July 12 and Aug. 9 meetings of the Oswego County Legislature will be held at 7 p.m., and not 2 p.m. as previously scheduled. The Legislature voted in June to change the meetings to 7 p.m.
