Mayor Barlow Unveils Proposed 2019 Oswego City Budget

At Monday night’s Common Council meeting, Mayor Billy Barlow unveiled his tentative operating budget for the coming year. It contains a 2.1% reduction in city property taxes for 2019. This is the first tax reduction for city residents in 20 years, Barlow said Monday night during his annual budget message to the council.

Jane F. Dunn, 75, of Fulton, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2918, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, where she lost her courageous struggle to battle cancer.

Driver In Fatal Crash Identified

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office has identified the driver who died in a motor vehicle crash on Saturday morning on State Route 176 in the town of Hannibal. The driver of the Ford truck was 23-year-old Timothy Manno of Fulton.

Inmate Who Died At OCJ Identified

The Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation into the death, and is working with the Oswego County Coroner’s Office, the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office, and the New York State Commission of Correction.
