A community celebration and dedication of a new statue of St. Francis of Assisi took place at St. Francis Commons Assisted Living Residence in Oswego. The new statue marks the location of a former orphanage, Catholic High School, and is now the St. Luke healthcare campus on the city’s east side. The Oswego Knights of Columbus Council #227 commissioned and erected the statue. A community celebration and dedication of a new statue of St. Francis of Assisi took place at St. Francis Commons at St. Luke Assisted Living Residence in Oswego. Erie Canalway Photo Contest Winners Announced

Twelve images that capture the beauty and character of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor have been selected as winners of the 13th Annual Erie Canalway Photo Contest. Winning images will be featured in the 2019 Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor calendar, which will be available for free at libraries and visitor centers beginning in December.

Morning Meetings Bring Sense Of Belonging To Leighton Students

Community culture has been the foundation of each Leighton Elementary School classroom since the beginning of the 2018-19 school year. To create a sense of acceptance and belonging, Leighton teachers have implemented Morning Meetings each day, following a responsive classroom training workshop during the summer.
