OSWEGO — SUNY Oswego’s “Safe Trick or Treat” that was scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28, has been canceled.
In the popular annual activity, a variety of Halloween games and activities were slated for kids in the Marano Campus Center food court. Several campus residence halls also planned to provide trick or treating for children accompanied by an adult.
The members of SUNY Oswego chapter of Vega — the women’s honor society for juniors and seniors — which sponsors the safe-Halloween events in cooperation with the Office of Residence Life and Housing, said they feel awful, knowing the community looks forward to the event every year.
