Diocese of Syracuse Catholic Schools to Celebrate Year of the Family on Father’s Day

SYRACUSE – The Catholic Schools Office in the Diocese of Syracuse will host Catholic Schools Day on Father’s Day, June 17, at NBT Stadium in Syracuse.

All are welcome to attend.

The Syracuse Chiefs will face the Scranton Railriders and game festivities will begin at 1:05 p.m.

“We are really excited to partner with the Chiefs on Father’s Day. It is a perfect celebration of our diocesan Year of the Family,” said William Crist, Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Syracuse.

Most Rev. Robert J. Cunningham, Bishop of Syracuse, declared the special Year of the Family in December 2017.

June 17 is a “Kids Eat Free” day at NBT Stadium.

So, each ticket will include a food voucher for each child 12 years old or younger.

The first 1,000 patrons in the door will receive a special Father’s Day gift.

Ticket sales benefit participating schools:

Bishop Grimes Junior/Senior High School, Bishop Ludden Junior/Senior High School, Blessed Sacrament School, Holy Cross School, Holy Family School ~Fairmount, Cathedral Academy at Pompei, Immaculate Conception School, Most Holy Rosary School, St. Mary’s Academy ~Baldwinsville, St. Margaret’s School, St. Rose of Lima School and Trinity Catholic School ~ Oswego.

The Diocese of Syracuse includes 22 Catholic schools across its seven counties.
