OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Hospital’s Lifeline service has signed on its 500th customer.

“I am so proud that we have achieved this program goal,” said Lauri Clark, Lifeline coordinator. “This program is such a comfort to area families to know that help for their older, independent family members is just minutes away. I am so pleased that so many families have found Lifeline such a piece of mind.”

Lifeline provides 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year personal response service to elders throughout the community.

Since 1974, Oswego Hospital Lifeline has helped subscribers live safely and independently in their own homes.

By simply pressing a waterproof button that can be worn either around the neck or wrist, help can be summoned at anytime of day or night.

Ready to take calls from Lifeline subscribers 24-hours a day are specially trained nurses on Oswego Hospital’s third floor.

The nurses have at their fingertips all necessary medical information on each of Lifeline’s subscribers.

Residents can sign up for Lifeline by calling Clark at 343-1887.

Most requests for services are filled within 24 hours.
