Altmar-Parish-Williamstown High School Principal Jamie Coppola recently announced the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2013.
Brian Wilson was named Valedictorian. Brian is the son of Margaret Wilson and Tim Wilson. He will attend LeMoyne College in the fall where he plans to major in chemical engineering. He hopes to continue his schooling in the future and earn his doctorate in chemical engineering.
Brian’s favorite subjects in school were math and science. His favorite teacher was Mrs. Pugliano because she spent a great deal of time helping her science club students and inspired him to continue on in the field of chemistry.
His most memorable high school experience was winning the Entergy Science Competition his freshman year.
Victoria Stanton was named Salutatorian. Victoria is the daughter of Dave and Christine Stanton. She plans to attend Jefferson Community College in the fall and will transfer to SUNY Oswego where she hopes to become a successful movie screen writer.
Her favorite teacher at APW was Mrs. Henner, who Victoria says, “she made every day fun and worthwhile.”
Her favorite subjects in school were English and Psychology. Her most memorable part of high school was being part of the APW Varsity Softball team since fifth grade.
Her advice to her fellow graduates? “No dream is too big, so work hard to achieve everything you hope for,” she said.
Altmar-Parish-Williamstown High School commencement ceremonies will be held on June 21 at 8 p.m. at the school on County Route 22, Parish.
