OSWEGO, NY – ARC of Oswego County will host a free family concert on Friday at 6 p.m. at the West Linear Park.
ARC of Oswego County will provide live entertainment by featuring the musical group, Flame, a group of talented musicians from upstate New York who happen to have disabilities.
This group has captured the world’s attention as they perform throughout the United States and in Europe.
The band performs for national and statewide conventions, corporate conferences, civic events, schools, dances, and private parties.
Flame’s song list contains more than 100 classic hits – rock, country, and blues – from the past five decades.
ARC of Oswego County and its sister agency, Oswego Industries, Inc., are private, not-for-profit organizations.
Their mission is to be a partner in the development of comprehensive community services designed to improve the quality of life for all people, with the primary emphasis on those with disabilities by providing the necessary support programs to enable individuals to grow with dignity and achieve their highest level of independence and self-fulfillment.
Each year, the agencies have serve hundreds of individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability in Oswego County.
The agencies provide: Medicaid services coordination, senior day rehabilitation programs, guardianship, recreational services, community recreation and leisure services, prevocational and vocational habilitation services, group day habilitation and career employment services.
