A friend of mine just adopted a new puppy, Otto. He is really cute at 10 weeks old, but she is finding that he tries to eat EVERYTHING. That is no exaggeration. She calls me every time it happens, frantic, and I am getting to be a nervous wreck over this puppy and he is not even mine. What can I tell her?
The Manor at Seneca Hill will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on September 26. Members of the public are invited to participate. The drive will be held in The Manor’s second floor dining room.
The Oswego County Health Department will hold a rabies clinic for cats, dogs, and pet ferrets from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Oswego County Highway Garage, 957 Centerville Road, Pulaski. New York State law requires that all cats, dogs, and pet ferrets be vaccinated against rabies.
Residents at Morningstar Residential Care Center enjoyed their daily exercise activity as they participated in a lively session of Noodlecise. Lively music and floating balloons kept the residents busy as they used their foam noodles to keep the balloons in the air.
“The Wizard of Oz” will be presented in December as an all-youth production by arrangement with Lifehouse Productions. Auditions for the musical will be held September 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the center’s current location, 357 State St. (use the Park Street entrance).
