Apple season is here and Oswego County apple growers have already begun picking early varieties of this year’s harvest. Luckily, farmers in Oswego County were not as affected by the spring frost that destroyed so many nearby counties’ crops.

The Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pa., is in a class of its own. It all came about at the request of Kitty, Milton Hershey’s wife, to start a school for orphan boys. Unable to have children of their own, they created the Hershey Industrial School for orphan boys in 1909.
The school has grown through the years and changed to meet the needs of today’s world.
The Oswego State men’s tennis team (0-1) opened its 2012-13 campaign with a 9-0 home loss to Roberts Wesleyan at Romney Tennis Courts on Friday.
