Oswego Speedway Teams with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York

Oswego Speedway announced today the “Racing for Ronald McDonald House” walk scheduled for July 14 beginning at 8:30 a.m. located inside the famed Oswego Speedway.
All proceeds from the charity walk will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY.

Samantha Schuffenecker, a member of the class of 2013 at Connecticut College and a resident of Oswego, has been named to the Dean’s High Honors list for the 2012 spring semester.

Agencies Conduct Public Transportation Survey in Oswego County

All Oswego County residents are encouraged to participate. The survey is available on-line at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/OCOPublicSurvey and www.oswegocounty.com, and in print form at several public agencies. Completed surveys should be submitted by July 7.

Former Phoenix Resident Facing Many Animal Cruelty Charges

The two-week investigation began when a village resident went to 86 Cherry Street to remove several aquariums from the front porch and discovered a dead animal located inside the tank. Entry was made into the vacant apartment where several other animal bodies were found in a second floor bedroom.

Quarterly Siren Tests Scheduled June 4-8

The test is a portion of the regular testing program of the Oswego County emergency alert system. This quarterly testing includes individual activation of each siren. No response by the public is required during these tests.

OCO Tree Planting Recognizes Oswego County Crime Victims

Staff from Oswego County Opportunities Services to Aid Families program welcomed Senator Patty Ritchie, town of Parish officials and community members for a tree planting ceremony in Parish. Held in recognition of National Crime Victims Week and Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the tree planting honored victims of crime in Oswego County.
