With a persistent mist and showers and thunderstorms coming late this afternoon and evening, Fulton Speedway management has canceled the May 14th race card.
The theme for this year’s Memorial Day Salute Parade is “Proud To Be An American”. Many area individuals, organizations, businesses and industries will try to develop their interpretation of this theme in the vehicles or floats they will enter in the parade on Saturday, May 28th.
Each of the Fulton Service Clubs use the proceeds from their sales to fund community projects.
Activities will include pitching, throwing, position play, baserunning, team defense, hitting, bunting, sliding, and mini-games.
Planck grabbed the lead from race long-leader Ted Lamb on lap 19 after a restart and then outdistanced Billy Decker for the popular win.

Mary C. Lafave, 91, a resident of Bishop Commons passed away on Friday May 13, 2011, at St. Luke Health Services.
In commemoration of Flag Day, a display of the many flags that have flown over Fort Ontario and the United States will be exhibited and explained by the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Oswego Lodge #271. More than 250 school children will be at the old fort on June 14 at 10 a.m.
