Stop Pillaging 911 Funds!

For some time now, our County E-911 Director, Mike Allen, and the Legislature’s Public Safety and Emergency Services Committee have been laying the groundwork for replacing the county’s outdated emergency communications system. There are a number of problems with the present equipment, and a new communications system has been needed for many years.

Justine E. Sipser, 80, of Oswego, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17th, at St. Luke Health Services, Oswego.

Jobless Rate Falls In Oswego County, But Jobs Remain Hard To Come By
The unemployment rate fell in Oswego County in July, but not because more people found jobs.
The jobless rate fell from 10.2% in June to 9.5% in July.
The rate remains very high — the third highest in the state outside of New York City.

Hannibal school officials say the district is making solid progress in getting students up to state standards on high school exams.
