At its meeting Monday night, the Common Council moved forward with a program to support the use of solar power. Mayor Tom Gillen was authorized to execute an agreement with the CNY Regional Planning and Development Board for the Solarize Central New York Campaign.

THIS JUST IN: At approximately 12:40 p.m., a 2002 Dodge Durango was traveling westbound on County Route 2 when 6-year-old Amish boy, identified as Jonathan L. Swartzentruber, entered the roadway after his hat was blown off his head from a wind gust. The driver attempted to take evasive action but is unable to avoid striking the boy.
The Oswego County Legislature got its house in order for 2015, and it looks quite similar to 2014. Kevin Gardner was re-elected as chairman and Linda Lockwood was re-elected as vice chairman.
