At approximately 3:02 p.m. Monday, the Oswego City Police and Fire departments responded to a report of a male having jumped from the Utica Street bridge into Oswego River. Upon arrival responding officers observed the victim floating down river. Police have not yet been able to obtain positive identification of the victim.Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 315-342-8120.

Nearly two dozen people attended the informational session at Oswego Library.According to coordinator Betty Gray, the more people know about the ordinance, the more they will be able to help police enforce it.
The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office has closed its investigation into what they say was a double homicide and a suicide this summer. Three people were found dead in late July at 1675 County Route 11 in the town of Parish. The reason for the shootings will likely never be known
