A resolution to initiate a request for proposals to explore alternatives for home health care in the county, which legislators sent back to the committee level, will languish there a while longer. Legislators still have several questions about how this will impact the county’s employees and budget.
Slim chance of more rain – even slimmer chance of wet snow
The board of education tabled a resolution that would have rescinded the resolution to accept the NYS Mentor Teacher-Internship program for the 2011-2012 school year. That, however, didn’t stop them from continuing to debate the program.
Looks like some more of the same
A brief dedication ceremony was held today (Oct. 25) to officially change Canal View Drive to Onondaga Street. About two dozen people, including city officials and representatives of the Onondaga Nation gathered for the ceremony.
Hunker down. It’s going to stay chilly with more showers here and there.
County legislators got to work Monday examining the department budgets that will make up the entire 2012 spending plan. Over the next few days, other county committees will be doing the same thing. The final budget is expected to be adopted Dec. 15.
