Several Mexico Elementary School students were recently honored for exhibiting leadership qualities throughout the month of April. Each awardee received a certificate and a medal because they served as role models for their peers and exemplified the seven Habits of Happy Kids.

An annual tradition continued at Fairley Elementary School recently, as students and the school community united to raise money for the Golisano Children’s Hospital. On a designated day each year, Hannibal students wear their pajamas to school as a fundraiser and to raise awareness of childhood cancer.
In celebration of Granby Elementary School first graders completing an academic unit on animals and habitats, they went on a virtual field trip to the Lee Richardson Zoo in Kansas.
To paraphrase a classic movie, “The woodlands are alive with sound of music.” Bird songs of course and the music is enchanting! Spring skies and water are echoing with noise and activity as migrating songbirds, ducks, geese, and other waterfowl return to the woodlands, fields, and ponds to court and raise their young where they were raised.
The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Archery team competed at the New York State National Archery in the School Program tournament. More than 236 high school students took part in the tournament from all across the state.
G. Ray Bodley High School is home to some amazing teenage stars. The talent of students in grades nine through 12 was abound, with 20 acts performing a variety of numbers, from duets to musical numbers to guitar solos, belly dancing, comedy and singing.
