That simple message was made clear to Mexico Middle School students during recent presentations from Oswego County District Attorney Gregory Oakes and Mexico Academy and Central School District Superintendent Sean Bruno. Granby Elementary PTG Science Night Attracts A Crowd

Held recently in the school cafeteria, attendees enjoyed about 14 stations of hands-on activities to explore how science is fun. PTG co-president Fallon Cooper said several Granby parents and teachers were looking for new ways to get the students, in grades pre-kindergarten through six, interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) topics.

Oswego High School’s Chetney Recognized By White House

An Oswego High School student has been recognized by the White House for outstanding contributions to community service, one of the highest honors a high school student is eligible to receive from the United States federal government. Claudia Chetney, a senior at OHS, was honored with the President’s Volunteer Service Award at a recent Oswego City School District Board of Education meeting.
