APW Board Selects Eric Knuth as Superintendent of Schools

The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District Board of Education announced that it has voted to hire Eric Knuth as the new Superintendent of APW Schools. Knuth is currently the principal at Cazenovia High School. He holds a B.A. in English from Siena College, a Master’s in education from the College of St. Rose and a C.A.S. from Cortland State University.

Voters Approve Hannibal Central School District Capital Project

Renovations and improvements are in store for the Hannibal Central School District after voters approved a $42 million capital project Wednesday (Nov. 29). In a 157-50 vote, residents elected to move forward with the project, which encompass upgrades to portions of all district buildings. The renovations will come at no cost to district taxpayers, as the project is fully funded through a combination of state aid and the district’s existing capital reserve fund.

Oswego Sub Shop Peewees Take Home Tourney Hardware

The Oswego Sub Shop Peewees took home the championship trophy in the TCS Winter Classic Cup held at The Buffalo Riverworks Complex this past weekend. The Oswego side made it to Sunday’s crossover game by going 1-2 in pool play. On Sunday The Sub Shop squad faced the Syracuse Blazers and defeated them 5-1 to advance to the championship contest.

Students Share Life Stories of St. Francis Commons Residents as ‘Once Upon A Time’ Project Concludes

An inter-generational project which brought Oswego Middle School students together with St. Francis Commons Assisted Living Residence residents for collaborative “life stories” provided each group with some new memories and new friendships along the way. After a series of interviews with a resident, students took the information they gathered back to the classroom and began to prepare stories about what they had learned.
