John C. Birdlebough High School student artwork was honored by the Central New York Scholastic Art Awards program with several accolades as part of this year’s competition.

The benefit for international students studying at SUNY Oswego is the wide availability of support from on campus and off campus. Many administrative and academic support programs run on campus for international students at SUNY Oswego. International students can also get social and emotional support from organizations and individuals off campus.
Keegan Wallace, a student at G. Ray Bodley High School, has been named one of the best musicians in the state. Wallace was selected to perform alongside several top high school students in the recent New York State School Music Association’s All-State Symphonic Band.
The Sandy Creek Elementary will be conducting registration for kindergarten for 2017-18 on February 1 and 2 from 1 – 6 p.m. each day in the Elementary Office area.
Volney Elementary second graders are helping to bring back Atlantic salmon to the region by raising salmon eggs at school. With the help of their teachers, the young students have been tasked with a daily recording of water temperature, temperature units (the water temperature minus 32 degrees), and the number of live eggs.
The Sandy Creek Central School District has announced it will be accepting nominations for their “Wall of Excellence.” This appreciation program recognizes past and present faculty and staff members who have exhibited unforgettable commitment and service to the children of the Sandy Creek Central School District.
