Doyle spoke about some of the founders who helped lead successful efforts to incorporate as the 48th county in New York State on March 1, 1816.
The Oswego County Chapter of the New York State School Facilities Association is seeking applicants for its annual scholarship awards. The association will award five $500 scholarships for financial assistance to Oswego County students in 2017 to pursue their career.

Art students in the Phoenix Central School District recently earned recognition for their work as part of the Scholastic Art Awards program. The annual effort honors Central New York students in grades seven through 12 for their artistic accomplishments.
