Several Fairgrieve Elementary School students were recently named expectation experts by Principal Jean Sampsell. For their efforts, the honorees received a “brag tag” to add to their collection and cheers from their peers, staff members and guests during a Morning Express program.
The event is open to the public and will aim to provide information and gain community feedback, regarding the proposed consolidation of Central Square Intermediate and Millard Hawk Primary School, as well as the boundary changes of Hastings-Mallory Elementary School.

The Culinary Arts program at the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation were recently visited by a professional chef who provided real-life insight into the trade.
The Oswego City Police Department is enforcing a more educational approach to preventing underage drinking and the usage of fake IDs before issuing violations, said Lt. Charles Searor. Searor said that the department will reach out to students in a number of ways through the college and even reaching out to students off-campus. “We used to just do enforcement and not a lot of education and outreach with both students and bars,” Searor said. “We’ve kind of taken a different avenue and tried to educate [and] outreach first.”

The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Drama Club will hold a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Dec. 6 from 5-7 p.m. Immediately following the dinner, the APW Junior/Senior High School winter concert will be held in the school’s auditorium.
Following weeks of studying, research and homework, students in the Cosmetology program at the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation recently tested their knowledge with a project-based learning opportunities.
