The Pulaski Public Library book sale will be held July 23 – 11 a.m. -7 p.m, July 24 – 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and July 25 – 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Snow Memorial Building Auditorium, 4917 N. Jefferson St., Pulaski.

First grade students at Fairgrieve Elementary School were lauded for their exceptional reading efforts during a recent Morning Express program. The top five Accelerated Reader finishers from first grade were announced before the school-wide assembly, drawing thunderous cheers from their fellow classmates.
Teaching artist Ira Marcks gave an illustration workshop to Exceptional Education students from the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation recently. Marcks works with libraries, museums and schools across New York State, providing workshops that inspire creativity and teach basic concepts of storytelling, drawing and design.

The Oswego County Reading Council recently held its 27th annual Writing Contest Awards at Mexico High School, recognizing students for their exceptional writing abilities. The theme of this year’s contest was “What Freedom Means to Me” and students from throughout the county submitted entries.
