State Street United Methodist Church, located at 357 State St., Fulton, will be having a bazaar and bake sale on December 20.

One more weekend remains until the annual St. Joseph’s Church’s Craft Show and Bake Sale to be held December 13 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the parish center, across from the YMCA. Nearly 70 vendors will be offering their homemade crafts for this handicapped-accessible show

ARISE is pleased to announce a new Diabetes Self-Management Program for people with disabilities who are on Medicaid. The six-week workshop is free and will take place once a week starting on January 15.

The Oswego High School freshman class (class of 2018) will hold a fundraiser in conjunction with Xpress Auto Care on Route 104 West in Oswego on Dec. 9 and 10. A percentage of sales from oil changes that day will be donated to the freshman class.

Sandy Creek Central School District recently hosted its Holiday Band Concert featuring performances by students in fifth through twelfth grades. By showcasing each of the district’s four band programs, audience members were able to see and hear the progression students make throughout their time in school.

Items up for bids include gift baskets, holiday items, original art, gift cards, homemade items and gift certificates from local services and establishments. A complimentary light lunch will be served.

In front of hundreds of family members and friends, third grade students at Michael A. Maroun Elementary School recently performed a holiday concert. Under the direction of music teachers Carol Van Gorder and Jody Lentz, students sang a handful of holiday themed songs in front of a packed crowd.

This appreciation program will recognize past and present faculty and staff members who have exhibited unforgettable commitment and service to the children of the Sandy Creek Central School District.

The congregation of Journey of Faith United Methodist Church is preparing for Live Nativity and Nativities by Candlelight to be held on December 13 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Church members will present a tableau of the special night at Bethlehem when Christ was born in the manger. The scene, which also includes live animals, will take place outside in the shed.
