A mentoring program that unites Fulton’s high school students with those at the elementary level is off to a successful start this year. As part of the initiative, two dozen G. Ray Bodley High School students get together with Fairgrieve Elementary School students every other Wednesday.

The 2012 project saw upgrades to the electrical system, data wiring and asbestos removal from walls and ceilings as a way to modernize the facilities for the next generation of learners. In an effort to showcase thankfulness, appreciation, and of course food, students helped prepare, cook and serve a Thanksgiving feast for family members and friends.
Oswego County STOP-DWI coordinator Robert Lighthall announced that Oswego County police agencies will participate in a special enforcement effort to crackdown on impaired driving. The statewide STOP-DWI Crackdown efforts start on November 26 and will end on November 30.
Lura Sharp Elementary School staff recently announced the Dare to Dream Award winners for the month of November, which was handed out to students who best exhibited citizenship throughout the month. The award ceremony was complete with a red carpet display for honorees to walk down.
