Culinary students prepare hundreds of lunches for senator’s events

Students enrolled in the Culinary Arts program at the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation are using the lessons learned in the classroom to prepare hundreds of lunches for upcoming events sponsored by Sen. Patty Ritchie. After preparing several hundred lunches for the senator’s Oswego County Senior Health and Wellness Fair held Sept. 24, the students assembled another 900 lunches for a similar Jefferson County event held Oct. 1.

A Perfect Weekend for Fulton’s Sports Community

At last Saturday’s annual Fulton’s football homecoming game, which featured Fulton vs. Oswego at the Athletic Complex, everything came together to make it memorable. What made it special was the combination of the end of Spirit Week at G.R. Bodley High School, and the innovative Raider Day, which featured activities for the students with participation from teachers, coaches and administrative staff.

Fairley Elementary School abuzz with excitement during open house

Families flocked to Fairley Elementary School for an open house recently to learn about the district’s expectations and to meet the teachers and staff members who will help guide each student toward success. The open house provided an opportunity for parents to tour the school with their child and to check out the class projects already under way. In addition to touring individual classrooms, families lined the hallways to view some of the student artwork and writing samples on display.

Stephen Dunn became the new principal of Hannibal High School on July 16. This is Dunn’s 19th year in education; before coming to Hannibal he worked as an assistant principal for the Auburn Enlarged City School District for seven years and prior to that he served the Lansing and Skaneateles central school districts as a social studies teacher.

Parents learn about student expectations at Birdlebough High School open house
