On Monday, investigators with the Oswego City Police Department’s Anti-Crime Team stopped a white colored Honda Civic on East Fourth Street just north of East Bridge Street. It was stopped as a result of an investigation into illegal heroin possession and sales occurring within the city. The three adult occupants of the vehicle were detained as the investigation proceeded. A three-year-old child was also in the vehicle. The adults were arrested.
State Police in Pulaski are investigating a fatal one-car crash that occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m., on County Route 17 in the town of Boyleston. A 2002 Chevy Venture, operated by Julianne Seaton, 43, from Lacona, was traveling south on County Route 17 in the town of Boyleston, Oswego County. Seaton died as a result of the accident.
SUNY Oswego will host the fourth annual GENIUS Olympiad June 16 to 20, unveiling a new category — music composition and performance — in the growing global high school environmental competition. Entries are open until April 1.

The Annual Junior/Senior Talent Show at Hannibal High School showed why the event has continued for a great many years when more than two dozen acts took the stage before a packed audience at the school on March 6.
On April 3, the Sandy Creek Transportation Department along with law enforcement personnel from across the state will participate in Operation Safe Start. At 2:30 p.m. Department of Transportation Supervisor Robin Cashel will share information, statistics and penalties associated with traffic violations and accidents involving passing a stopped school bus.
