Students in Robyn Yorker’s class at the Stepping Stones Day Program at Oswego County BOCES just capped off an instructional unit on insects. The unit included a variety of ELA and science-based lessons involving information about insects: how they eat, how they breathe, and how the see.

The Fulton City School District recognizes that good attendance habits including arriving on time and prepared are critical to school success and also set the foundation for future success in college or a career. For this reason the “It’s Cool 2B in School” attendance campaign is in its second year in the district and at G. Ray Bodley High School.
The Oswego Children’s Theater’s latest production, an adaptation of the children’s classic, “Winnie the Pooh” opens Friday, May 17, at the New Haven Congregational Church. The show features a cast of area youth, colorful costumes, set, an easily followed story, and a short run time, specifically designed to appeal to younger children.
Former Raider Laxmen Ross Maxam and Brett Williams traveled to Long Island with their team, Onondaga Community College, May 11 and 12. They brought home the NJCAA National Championship. This was the Lazers fifth straight championship title and its 70th straight win, breaking the all-time record by any level college lacrosse team of most consecutive wins.
Auburn High School, Jamesville-DeWitt High School, the Media Unit, Nottingham High School, Oswego Children’s Theater, and Skaneateles High School Drama participated in this year’s Festival.
