BOCES students raise money for ‘Hoops For Heart’
Oswego County BOCES students from the Fourth Street School in Fulton and enrolled in the Stepping Stones Day Program joined forces to participate in a “Hoops For Heart” American Heart Association fundraising challenge and raise funds for research to discover critical advancements in heart disease and stroke treatment and prevention.

‘Transformative’ Romney Field House project boosts athletes’ readiness
SUNY Oswego’s Golden Romney Field House has reopened to limited spring practices as work wraps up on a $2 million project to breathe new athletic life into the college’s former ice hockey home. “It’s a transformation,” said Nicholas Lyons, vice president for administration and finance. “It came out very, very well.”

State OKs Low-Cost Power For Fulton’s Closed Birds-Eye Plant
Fulton’s closed Birds-Eye food processing plant is getting one more boost in the effort to find a buyer to reopen it. The New York Power Authority’s Recharge NY program has approved a $3.2 million dollar purchase of low-cost power for the plant.

The magical world of Mother Goose was brought to life during the Fulton City School District Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program’s recent Family Literacy Night. Held at the Fulton Education Center, current UPK students and their family members enjoyed an evening of literacy-infused activities related to some of Mother Goose’s most popular nursery rhymes.
