ARC of Oswego County announced today that it has received a $500 Oswego County Autism Task Force Grant. The grant will be used to support a Summer Recreational Respite program for youth program participants.
“To be recognized for a body of work that you have more or less devoted your life to is very overwhelming,” Finnerty said. “It’s very humbling, and I am very honored. Potsdam afforded me the foundation for this career and I added my own passion to do the best for any student I work with.”
The child lives in the city of Oswego and is recovering at home. The Oswego County Health Department was notified by the New York State Department of Health Friday afternoon that the child tested positive for West Nile virus.
UPDATE: Oswego County 911 Center reports people able to call 911
Oswego – The Oswego County E-911 Communications Center reports that the telephone outage in the communities of Altmar, Lacona, Sandy Creek and Parish has been fixed and people are able to call 911 from their telephones.
On August 8, at noon, in the Education Center’s second floor Curriculum Room a public hearing will be conducted in relation to the proposed Renaissance Charter School, which is being created within the boundaries of the Oswego City School District.
Beginning on August 7, a new temporary traffic signal, recently installed by the New York State Department of Transportation, will begin regulating traffic at the intersection of State Route 3 (West Broadway) and West Second Street South in the city of Fulton.

St. Luke Health Services in Oswego announces the appointment of Nicole Greenier to the position of volunteer coordinator. As Volunteer coordinator, Greenier will be responsible for coordinating St. Luke’s Volunteer Program which numbers more than eighty participants.
After an intensive search in the water and on land, it was determined the individuals had left on their own.
