New York Sea Grant issued a series of impact statements for projects completed in 2011. A statewide media campaign was launched over the weekend to educate New Yorkers that in-store tobacco product displays are a form of marketing which impacts youth smoking. The campaign reflects research that indicates the more kids see tobacco marketing, the more likely they are to start smoking.
On the morning of March 2, the Hile family was woken to their one year old black lab frantically barking and running through the house. They quickly found that their Freightliner truck was engulfed in flames.
