The projects impacted diverse interest sectors including commercial fishermen, US Coast Guard search and rescue programs, the seafood industry, New York’s teachers and students, public and private coastal property managers, municipal leaders, and fisheries managers.

‘This is Tobacco Marketing’ Statewide Campaign Reaches Oswego County
A statewide media campaign was launched over the weekend to educate New Yorkers that in-store tobacco product displays are a form of marketing which impacts youth smoking. The campaign reflects research that indicates the more kids see tobacco marketing, the more likely they are to start smoking.

Major Changes in Days off in Oswego Schools
The Oswego City School District officials have indicated that there are some major changes in the academic calendar. This Friday will be a half day of school for all Oswego City School District students. Other dates have changed, also.
