FULTON, NY – The Parents of Special Children, Inc., Autism Connections group will meet on Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. for a special movie night featuring “The Black Balloon,, a film about fitting in, discovering love and accepting your family.
Connections organizer and PSC educational advocate, Theresa Familo, notes that “fitting in at school is sometimes a difficult task and it can be even more difficult when your sibling is autistic.”
When Thomas (Rhys Wakefield) is asked to take care of his older brother Charlie (Luke Ford), he is faced with some big challenges.
Charlie’s unusualness sends Thomas on an out pouring of frustrations and a renewed understanding of family.
This is a film that is funny, confronting, and ultimately heart-warming.
A must see for parents, siblings, extended family, friends and providers.
This event is free, open to the public and will be held at the PSC office located at 2 C Tower Drive, Fulton.
To reserve your seat, please contact Familo at 598-7672.
