Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series To Visit Brewerton Speedway On Friday, August 7th For Summit Motors 100


BREWERTON, NY…The Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series will visit Brewerton Speedway on Friday, August 7 for the Summit Motors 100. The event is sure to be hotly contested at the D-shaped Dirt Demon. The Empire State IMCA Modified Series race and ESDCA Mod Lite Championship will also be part of the sure to be action packed three division show of professional motorsports competition. Race time is set for 7:30 p.m.

The Super DIRTcar 100 lap event will see the Brewerton Speedway regulars take on the best of the series travelers. Billy Decker, Matt Sheppard, Jimmy Phelps, Ryan Phelps, Alan Johnson and Larry Wight will look to defend their home turf against invading series drivers Brett Hearn, Justin Haers, Gary Tomkins, Dale Planck, Danny Johnson, Billy Dunn, Michael Storms and Jeff Brownell. Jim Witko, Chuck Bower, Kevin Bates, Tom Sears, Chad Phelps and Vinnie Vitale are more of the Brewerton regulars that will look for success.

Both the Empire State IMCA Modified Series event and a Mod Lite Championship race will also be contested on Friday, August 7. Kevan Cook has been the dominant driver this season at the D-shaped Dirt Demon in the Xtreme Auto Recovery IMCA Modified division. J.J. Courcy, Pete Anderson, Dave Talbot and Rob Keller complete the top five in the IMCA rankings. Tim Devendorf, Doug Williams, Gary Jeffries, Terry Lapham and Lowell Zehr are the top five drivers in the Beaver River Distribution ESDCA Mod Lite class.

Brewerton Speedway pit gates on Friday, August 7 will open at 5 p.m. Grandstand gates will open at 5:30 p.m. Race competition leading up to the Summit Motors 100 will start at 7:30 p.m. For more information please go on line to www.brewertonspeedway.com. Children nine years of age and under will be admitted free of charge.
